I am delighted to be teaching English to Sixth and Seventh graders at The Seven Hills School. I was born, raised, and educated in San Francisco. I hold a lifetime California Teaching Credential, a State of Hawaii Private School Credential, and a Master’s Degree in Private School Administration. I am a Sarah D. Barder fellow with Johns Hopkins University Center for Gifted and Talented Youth and a member of DEN (Distinguished Educators Network )and the Advisory Panel with Worldstrides, the Washington, DC Student travel group. This is the beginning of my fourteenth year at The Seven Hills School and my thirty-second year in education. I am passionate about teaching grammar and writing and sharing my love of literature with my students. I enjoy moderating the Middle School Parent-Student Book Club and coordinating the Washington, DC trip for our seventh graders. I am an avid reader and crossword puzzler. During summer vacations, I love to travel anywhere. In my leisure time, I like to needlepoint, attend Giants games, go to high school basketball games, play Scrabble, swim, and walk on the Iron Horse Trail. I live in Alamo with my husband Larry, my son Nick, who teaches history and coaches varsity basketball at Castro Valley High School, and Riley, the lovable wonder dog. |
