EVENTS & Time of year

Back-to-School Ice Cream Social -AugustVolunteers need to coordinate the event. This is the first event of the year that welcomes all new and existing families to get to know each other and the staff. Faculty/Staff Luncheon-MayThis event gives us an opportunity to thank our wonderful teachers and staff by treating them to a luncheon served in the living room. Volunteers are needed to assist in planning and implementing the luncheon to make it a memorable occasion. Picture Day - End of SeptVolunteers are needed to escort classes to the photographer and to help with class organization while students wait
to have their pictures taken. (approx. 4 - 6 hours)
Back-to-School Brunch -SeptThe Parent Involvement Association (PIA) hosts a back-to-school coffee to greet parents. Halloween Festivities -OctIntroduced in the 1997-98 school year, the Halloween Festival will be held in the afternoon and volunteers are needed to help plan and participate in this fun event. Second Time Around – ongoingVolunteers manage the lost and found, uniform resale ('Second Time Around Shop") and ordering & distribution of logo items throughout the year.
Campus Cleanup -Fall & SpringVolunteers are needed to help spruce up our campus. The work days are on Saturdays and are a great way to meet members of the Seven Hills community. Jump Rope for Heart - FebruaryVolunteers are needed to help with the set-up and events of this fun American Heart Association event that promotes the health of our students. Support-A-Family - Nov/DecVolunteers are needed to assist with the holiday Support-A-Family project. 
Eighth Grade Graduation -SpringVolunteers are needed to assist with planning and implementation of this important event. Book Swap –May Wellness Challenge - WinterVolunteers are needed to support students run a marathon – a little at a time during lunch recesses – for the health and fitness of our community.
Engage the Spirit – SpringA half day of fun athletic stations. Volunteers needed to set up and man the stations. Lost & Found – ongoingVolunteers manage the lost and found, uniform resale ('Second Time Around Shop") and ordering & distribution of logo items throughout the year. Walnut Creek Twilight Parade
Evening of the Arts-SpringStudent artwork display: put up for viewing during Open House/VIP day. Volunteers needed to mat, hang and take down artwork. Parent Lecture Series – ongoingParent education – help choose and promote workshops three times a year.

Classroom Readiness –End of Aug.Help is needed inside the classrooms at the end of the summer in preparation for the school year. Open Door - A place for Community Connections MS Sports Boosters – ongoingMiddle School parents augment the sports program as coaches and team parents, and help with administration. Room parent-for future years
Library AssistanceLibraries have no end of things needing to be done - re-shelving, cataloging, preparing new books, repairing books. A morning or afternoon of your time will make our terrific library a haven for books and children. Camp Fair –MarchAs a community service Seven Hills hosts the representatives of various residence camps (both local and out-of-state), day camps and summer programs in Hunt Hall. The public is invited to attend. Board of Trustees CommitteesSeven Hills School is governed by a self-perpetuating Board of Trustees who volunteer their time and talents to direct the business of the school. If you are interested in serving on the Board or one of the committees, contact Bill Miller.
