Dear Parents and Students:
Welcome to the electronic version of Seven Hills’ Parent-Student Handbook. We now offer it online for two reasons: 1) so it is always at your fingertips and 2) in support of our paper-reducing green initiative. We hope you find it useful and easy to navigate.
The handbook is a resource for the most common questions asked about our daily operations and programs. Because it describes our expectations for student behavior and parent support, and it covers important procedural information, please take time to read through this handbook and have a discussion with your child about those areas most germane to your family. By doing this, you will be in the optimal position to partner with us, as we provide the best possible educational climate for our students and lay the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.
At Seven Hills, we attend to the intellectual, physical, social and aesthetic needs of each child. High academic expectations are exceeded in an environment that encourages inquiry, within a malleable process of learning. We instill positive values from the earliest age – integrity, cooperation, respect and responsibility - and give our students the skills to thrive in an evolving world.
We are an inclusive community and stress compassion, social awareness and diversity. The school provides opportunities for leadership and service that culminate in positive contributions to the world beyond our fences. This handbook serves as a guide to familiarize parents and students with the policies and procedures, and strengthens the partnership between all constituencies of the Seven Hills community.
