Learning, community-building and fun start at 7:00am each morning and do not stop until the last student has headed toward home. In Extended Day, students have an abundance of opportunities for social-emotional development, new friendships, problem-solving, physical activity, imaginative play, creating art, and getting started on homework. Children can participate in free play, a planned indoor/outdoor activity, or go to Homework Club. Planned activities are led by the Extended Day staff and ideas for activities often come from the children. Homework Club provides students with a quiet environment in which they can work on homework and get assistance from other students or the Extended Day staff.
To complement the school day curriculum, Seven Hills offers an extensive after school enrichment program to meet the needs and interests of students Kindergarten through 8th grade. Taught by both Seven Hills faculty as well as experts from the community, the after school programs encourage creativity and exploration through a variety of media.
Additionally, Math Help for Grades 3-5 is provided by our Math instructors on Thursday's from 7:15am to 8:00am in the Library Workshop.
