The Campaign for Seven Hills

REIMAGINE  |  ELEVATE  |  DISCOVER

From the moment children arrive at The Seven Hills School, they embark on an educational journey that nurtures curiosity and values joyful exploration. A deeply rooted commitment to educating the whole child—developing the mind and heart—means that every Seven Hills student learns how to make meaningful connections within themselves, to each other, and to their world.

The success of our school today is due to the investment of the stakeholders who came before us and invested their time, talents, and treasures in Seven Hills. To secure the future of our learning village, we must continue to modernize our campus, enhance our programs, expand access and affordability, and deliver on our commitment to grow our endowment.

The Campaign for Seven Hills funds:

  • The Big Red Build: A New Lower School Building
  • Student Programs: Enhanced Learning Opportunities
  • Modified Tuition: Expanding Access and Affordability
  • Our Endowment: Strengthening Our Financial Future

The Need

This ambitious capital campaign aims to rebuild Big Red (currently 2nd and 3rd grade classrooms) into a modern, versatile space that will become the center of the Lower School. Designed to match the caliber and functionality of other campus spaces, the new Big Red will feature bright classrooms and inspiring outdoor areas for hands-on exploration. This building will lay the foundation for future growth, ensuring Seven Hills remains a place where curiosity and inspiration flourish.

The Solution

Building a center for innovation, collaboration, and inquiry will:

  • Create open and flexible classrooms
  • Include a kindergarten through 5th-grade Imagination Lab
  • Integrate the arts and sciences
  • Connect indoor and outdoor learning

PROJECT SCOPE

List of 4 items.

  • THE BIG RED BUILD

A redesigned 6010 square foot lower school building with four classrooms, a hands-on K-5th Imagination Lab, an Outdoor Learning Deck, classroom garden spaces, and floor-to-ceiling windows. We are employing off-site, factory-fabricated building systems using renewable mass timber, which aligns with our environmental commitment to using smart and sustainable construction practices and minimizing disruption for our current students.
  • STUDENT PROGRAMS

Enhancing student programs by expanding and innovating the educational experience. Through new middle school electives, lower school Curiosity Workshops, exciting field trips, and a diverse range of arts and core subjects, we are committed to offering fresh and creative programs for students of all ages each year.

    • Curricular funds and initiatives
    • Departmental funds
    • Professional development funds
    • After-school athletic programs
  • MODIFIED TUITION

Our Modified Tuition program is critical to ensuring that students who would benefit from a Seven Hills education and enrich our school community can afford to attend. Our inclusive tuition model includes everything from community lunch and snacks to technology and classroom supplies and domestic day and overnight trips. We are proud of the investment we have made to fund our Modified Tuition program to date, but we strive to do better to increase access and affordability to deserving students and their families.

    • Scholarship funds
    • International travel grants
    • Access and affordability initiatives
  • ENDOWMENT

Growing the endowment ensures financial stability, flexibility, and long-term sustainability. It is an investment in our children’s future. That is why, even as we invest in transforming our campus, we are also committed to building our endowment to support strategic teaching and learning priorities while keeping tuition as affordable as possible. A robust endowment allows us to engage in long-term planning with confidence and the ability to adapt nimbly to an ever-changing educational landscape.
