Parent Community

ECE and Lower School Parent

In addition to the classroom environment, we have also been wowed by Seven Hills’ remarkable community—and its focus on intentionally building and cultivating that community. It feels like the parents are working together to create a great experience for their children in partnership with the school.

Parent / Guardian Community
When School & Family Work Hand in Hand

We believe that a child’s educational journey flourishes when school and family work hand in hand. We see parents and guardians as our valued partners, co-educators, and an essential part of the fabric of our community.

Partners in Purpose

From the moment you join Seven Hills, you are invited to dive in, share your talents, and help create the vibrant, supportive environment that makes our school special. Whether it's volunteering in the classroom, chaperoning a field trip, joining a Parent Involvement Association (PIA) committee, serving on the Board of Trustees, or sharing your professional expertise, there are countless ways to get involved and build lasting connections with fellow families along the way. We understand that every family’s availability looks different, and we offer opportunities throughout the day, in the evenings, and on weekends. No matter your schedule, there’s a place for you to contribute.

Beyond volunteering, families support our school community by participating generously in the Annual Fund, attending joyful events such as student performances, learning celebrations, and community events, and championing Seven Hills through word of mouth. Our parents and guardians are our strongest ambassadors—and the heart of our community.
Every Seven Hills parent and guardian is a valued member of the Parent Involvement Association (PIA), our unified parent community.

Parent Involvement Association (PIA)

Rooted in service, engagement, and fun, the PIA helps shape the inclusive spirit that defines Seven Hills by:
  • Organizing non-academic events that enrich the experience for students, families, faculty, and staff
  • Fostering community and belonging through thoughtful programming
  • Providing a forum for exchanging ideas, insights, and perspectives
  • Discovering the joy of volunteerism and supporting school initiatives through fundraising efforts

Monthly PIA meetings are a wonderful way to stay informed, hear about upcoming events, and learn about ways to get involved. Whether you're a seasoned volunteer or new to the community, you'll find a welcoming place to contribute, connect, and make a difference in school life.

Volunteer Opportunities

Your involvement not only supports our programs—it strengthens the friendships and community ties that make Seven Hills feel like home. Whatever your interests or talents, there's a committee or event where you can jump in and lend a hand:

Parent Education

Learning never stops— for children or the adults who support them.
Our Parent Education Series brings renowned speakers and experts to campus, offering fresh perspectives and practical tools on topics that matter most to today’s families. Sessions are held two to three times a year and cover areas such as supporting emotional resilience, navigating technology, and fostering healthy development at every stage of childhood.

This series reflects our commitment to "develop the intellect, engage the spirit, and foster respect for and responsibility to our world," and helps equip families with knowledge and confidence at every stage of the parenting journey.

Early Childhood Parent Workshops

For the families of our youngest learners, we offer monthly Early Childhood Education (ECE) Parent Workshops, led by our Director of Early Childhood Education and School Counselor. These authentic, non-judgmental sessions provide space for parents and caregivers to come together, share experiences, and support one another through the joys and challenges of raising young children.
