Middle School

As students enter Middle School, their artistic journey expands into new realms of creativity, design, and innovation. With two art and design periods each week, students rotate through multiple media in arts and design: 2D Art, Digital Arts, and 3D Design. Students build technical skills and creative fluency while exploring how art connects with other academic disciplines.
2D Art
In 2D Art, students explore drawing, painting, mixed media, and art history while deepening their understanding of shading, perspective, and color theory. Projects range from still lifes to portraits and abstract compositions, nurturing both technical growth and personal expression.

Digital Arts
Blending technology with creativity, our Digital Arts class introduces students to digital image editing and coding. Using Adobe Photoshop, students learn about composition, lighting, layering, and color correction. They also explore creative coding through p5.js, designing interactive digital art that bridges the gap between technology and artistic expression.

3D Design
In 3D Design, students bring their ideas to life through hands-on projects that merge creativity with engineering. They design and construct objects, such as model cars, using tools like hammers and handsaws in a safe and structured environment. This course strengthens problem-solving skills, fine motor coordination, and the ability to transform imaginative ideas into tangible creations.
