Curiosity in Action

Science at Seven Hills begins with big questions and exciting answers. From a child’s first “why?” in Early Childhood to Middle School design challenges, students dive into hands-on learning that stimulates scientific curiosity and critical thinking.

Whether observing a butterfly’s life cycle, designing a solar-powered invention, or engineering a solution to an environmental challenge, our students learn to see science as a powerful tool for discovery. Our nine-acre campus becomes a living laboratory where students explore gardens, collect data in the creek and pond, and contribute to eco-initiatives. These experiences inspire environmental stewardship and a deeper connection to the world around them.

Along the way, students build scientific habits that prepare them for deeper exploration:
  • Asking thoughtful questions
  • Solving problems creatively
  • Planning and conducting investigations
  • Making and recording observations
  • Interpreting data and drawing conclusions
  • Communicating findings with evidence
Lower School teaching resources are based on FOSS (Full Option Science System) and Mystery Science.
