Welcome to the Rainbow Classroom
The Rainbow classroom is a nurturing space where our youngest learners begin their journey of discovery, independence, and creativity. Rooted in a Reggio-inspired philosophy, we cultivate an environment that encourages curiosity, risk-taking, meaning-making, and a love of learning. For many children, Rainbow is their first experience in a school setting, and we take great care to support a smooth transition for both children and their families.

Each morning begins with uninterrupted time to explore thoughtfully designed indoor and outdoor spaces.
These spaces are filled with open-ended and thought-provoking materials that invite inquiry, problem-solving, collaboration, and focus. Children take the lead in their learning, developing agency as they engage in activities that spark their curiosity.
As the day unfolds, we gather in small inquiry groups to delve deeper into shared interests, strengthening skills such as turn-taking, listening, and speaking in a group. Weekly specialist classes—including library, studio, and ecological literacy—enrich their learning and expand their understanding of the world around them.
Lunch in small groups within the classroom offers a relaxed space to build social connections, practice conversation skills, and discover new tastes and textures at their own pace. We close our day with a reflection circle, where children have the opportunity to share their discoveries and celebrate their learning together.
