Physical Education

Physical Education at our school is more than just a class—it’s a joyful, foundational experience rooted in the theme "Fitness for Life." Our dedicated PE and Sports & Wellness teachers inspire students to build healthy habits, cultivate confidence, and develop a lifelong love of movement, fitness, and well-being.

Our inclusive program welcomes students of all skill levels, encouraging every child to discover their strengths through a wide variety of engaging activities. Whether climbing our rock wall, chasing a frisbee, or learning how muscles work, students are constantly growing—in mind, body, and heart.

  • Develop coordination, flexibility, and body awareness
  • Build empathy, teamwork, and leadership
  • Take healthy risks and embrace new challenges
  • Understand the value of fitness, effort, and sportsmanship
  • Respect themselves, their space, and others

  • Early Childhood

In ECE, physical education and wellness concepts are introduced through daily routines and active exploration. Children develop gross motor skills as they climb, run, balance, and move with purpose during outdoor play and movement activities. Wellness is woven into the rhythm of the day through experiences with temperature, toileting, hand washing, food choices, and learning how to care for their bodies. These moments help build physical awareness, support healthy habits, and foster autonomy and self-care in a responsive, nurturing environment.
  • Lower School

In Lower School, our Physical Education curriculum lays the groundwork for lifelong fitness through movement, play, and purposeful instruction. Students engage in games and creative activities that help them develop essential physical skills while building self-confidence and a positive relationship with their bodies.

  • Middle School

As students enter Middle School, Physical Education evolves into our dynamic Sports & Wellness program—designed to help them grow into confident athletes, resilient individuals, and collaborative teammates. Through a mix of individual and team sports, goal-setting, and health education, students begin to take ownership of their physical well-being and explore how fitness fits into their lives beyond school.
