6th - 8th Grade

In Middle School, students refine their reading, writing, and speaking skills in preparation for high school and beyond. Writing assignments include:
  • Narrative storytelling
  • Research-based informative writing
  • Persuasive and argumentative essays
The writing process—brainstorming, outlining, peer collaboration, and revision—is emphasized throughout. Students read a wide range of literature, enhancing analytical and interpretive skills. Independent reading remains central, with book selections driven by student interest.

Grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure are embedded within the curriculum. Students also use Membean, an adaptive vocabulary program that personalizes learning based on individual needs.
