Kindergarten - 2nd Grade

In the primary grades, science is about exploration—using their senses to observe, question, and investigate the world around them. With an inquiry-based approach, children learn to think like scientists—asking open-ended questions, experimenting with tools, and drawing conclusions from what they see.
Science instruction is integrated into the classroom day and supported by our Science Coordinator and teaching teams, allowing for flexible and small-group learning, as well as connections across disciplines.

Topics & Experiences:
  • Life cycles of plants and animals (including class gardens)
  • Weather patterns and seasonal changes
  • Animal adaptations and habitats
  • Tidal zones and marine ecosystems
  • Designing and testing simple experiments
