The Seven Hills Student Support Services Program has a commitment to assisting students with mild to moderate learning differences. Rooted in the Care Team approach, the program aims to identify individual learning needs and formulate personalized support plans to help every student achieve their maximum potential. Alongside the Division Head, classroom teacher, and parents, the Student Support Team comprises dedicated professionals:
Beth Wadsworth, Director of Support Services. Beth has worked at Seven Hills since 2012 and has a deep understanding of the needs of our students and families. She recently completed coursework for an educational therapy degree, further honing her skills. Alongside dedicated learning specialists Molly Schettewi (Grades 3-5) and Will Laws (Grades 6-8), the team closely engages with students, teachers, and families, with a particular focus on reading and writing support. Through individual or small group sessions, both in and out of the classroom, they employ a multi-sensory, child-centered approach that addresses academic, social, and emotional needs. Specialists collaborate closely with teachers and parents, adapting and expanding the program as necessary.
Dr. Cyrell Roberson, School Counselor. We are able to support families and teachers when children have mild social, emotional, and/or behavioral needs. Dr. Roberson is available to students, teachers, and parents, offering guidance on interpersonal concerns, social dynamics, and small-group interactions. His role includes providing resources and referrals as needed. Dr. Roberson collaborates with learning specialists, teachers, and administrators to support each child and family.
Cynthia Cogswell, Speech Therapist. On-campus consultant Cynthia Cogswell conducts preliminary speech screenings, provides valuable feedback to the team, and offers ongoing speech therapy. Speech therapy is available on a fee basis.
