Student Support

Seven Hills Student Support Services Program provides assistance for students with a variety of learning strengths and challenges. This program is based on the Care Team approach to identify learning needs and create an individual plan of support to help all students reach their full potential. In addition to including the Division Head, the classroom teacher, and the parents of the student, the Student Support Team is comprised of the following professionals:

Dr. Cyrell Roberson, School Counselor. Cyrell is available to students, teachers, and parents to help navigate interpersonal concerns, social dynamics, and small group interactions, as well as provide resources and referrals as needed. We are fortunate to have him collaborating with our learning specialists, teachers, and administrators to support every child and family.

Beth Wadsworth (Grades K-4) and Stephanie Scholer (Grades 5-8), Student Support Specialists.
Student Support Specialists work closely with students, teachers, and families to provide support in all areas, but especially in reading and writing. They work with students both in and out of the classroom, individually or in small groups, providing a multi-sensory, child-centered approach that supports students academically, socially, and emotionally. Specialists partner closely with teachers and parents to modify and extend the program as needed.

Cynthia Cogswell, Speech Therapist. Cynthia is an on-campus consultant who provides preliminary speech screening, feedback to the team, and ongoing speech therapy. Speech therapy is offered on a fee basis.
