Seven Hills has a strong commitment to its after-school athletic program. We have a “no-cut” policy and participation is open to all academically and behaviorally eligible students. It is our intention that the program is inclusive; providing both exposure and opportunity for new sports for students to try.
For many sixth graders, the Seven Hills sports program is their introduction to a new menu of opportunities. We love to give our students experiences that help them find hidden talents, encourage them to take valuable risks, and foster life skills such as teamwork and time management. Our Middle School students are encouraged to participate in one of the many programs offered throughout the year, regardless of prior experience.
Respect for each other and for one’s opposition are key components of our athletic philosophy, so we believe it is critical to have excellent role models in coaching positions. With that in mind, we expect good sportsmanship and a calm attitude from our coaches, athletes, and parents.
Here is a summary of the sports being offered each season during a typical school year:
Fall: Girls Volleyball, Coed Flag Football, Coed Cross Country
Winter: Girls Basketball, Boys Fitness
Early Spring: Boys Basketball, Girls Fitness
Spring: Coed Golf, Run Club, Mixed Recreational Sports
Athletics engage the spirit, create comradery, and produce lifelong memories.
