The start of the 2021-22 school year brought some exciting new opportunities for collaboration and consistency across our program as Seven Hills restructured and formalized four departments on campus: K-8 Arts, ECE-8 Student Services, ECE-8 Environmental Stewardship, and ECE-8 Technology and Library Sciences.
As Seven Hills has reintroduced touchstones of our program that were on pause during the pandemic, the returns of field trips and overnight trips have stood out as integral experiences for out-of-the-box teaching and deep learning.
With a generous gift to the science program from a Seven Hills donor, Seven Hills was able to purchase and acquire its own scanning electron microscope (SEM).
During the last week of October, while many 7th and 8th graders were traveling on their outdoor education trips, 6th graders and a handful of 8th graders were engaged in a week-long, project-based experience focused on water.
