Whole Child, High School Readiness

In the Middle School at Seven Hills we've built a challenging curriculum that develops competence in key areas - writing and speaking proficiency, quantitative analytical skills, knowledge of scientific concepts and methods, and an understanding of history and the development of diverse cultures.
Middle School should provide opportunities for exploring new subjects and pursuing new interests. In that spirit, we encourage the development of the whole student - academically, creatively, and socially. Many students develop new academic strengths, participate in new sports, or discover new creative talents in the Middle School.
"Seven Hills Middle School makes me want to go back to school! To sit in those history classes and have those conversations, to succeed and fail in those science experiments, to travel with my classmates domestically and internationally...sign me up!"

Did you know?

At Seven Hills, students have an opportunity to learn outside the limitations of classroom walls and textbooks. At every grade level they are inspired to learn through hands-on, interactive projects and events. In Middle School, students experience the confusion and intensity of a WWI trench, launch a self-designed rocket 100 feet in the air and portray a Union or Confederate soldier for a week-long Civil War re-enactment.

Middle School trips include outdoor education in the Sierras, American history in Washington DC, and the performing arts at The Elizabethan Theatre in Ashland, Oregon. Students also develop international friendships through our Japanese exchange program and many travel to Japan, France and Costa Rica.
