Serving Preschool Through 8th Grade in the San Francisco East Bay Since 1962

Extended Day

Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten students will have Extended Day care available from 7:00-8:30am, and 1:30-5:00pm during the 2021-22 school year.
Due to COVID-19 and cohort requirements, Seven Hills will not be offering Extended Day care for the first quarter of the 2021-22 school year for Kindergarten through 8th grades after 3:00pm.

Extended Day will open to vaccinated K-8 students during the course of the year as vaccines roll out to younger children.
Please email Sammy Buono, Director of Extended Day and Enrichment, with any questions about Extended Day.

Learning, community-building, and fun start at 7:00am each morning and do not stop until the last student has headed toward home. In Extended Day, students have an abundance of opportunities for social-emotional development, new friendships, problem-solving, physical activity, imaginative play, creating art, and getting started on homework. Children can participate in free play, a planned indoor/outdoor activity, or go to Homework Club. Planned activities are led by the Extended Day staff and ideas for activities often come from the children. Homework Club provides students with a quiet environment in which they can work on homework and get assistance from other students or the Extended Day staff. Children who stay with us after school are offered a healthy afternoon snack every day.

Due to COVID-19, enrichment classes are currently on hiatus.

To complement the school day curriculum, Seven Hills offers an extensive after-school enrichment program to meet the needs and interests of students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Taught by both Seven Hills faculty as well as experts from the community, the after-school programs encourage creativity and exploration through a variety of media. Students and parents can select from a schedule of course offerings in the fall and spring and sign up for each session.
