Serving Preschool Through 8th Grade in the San Francisco East Bay Since 1962

"...Responsibility to Our World."

Community Service programs at Seven Hills provide our school community with opportunities to consider the world beyond our campus and to explore ways in which we can contribute to the wider community. Younger students may bring a musical performance to a local nursing home, while older students may help prepare meals for those in need, or pack books to send to students overseas.

Seven Hills students contribute community service to over 130 different local organizations each year, and by the time a student reaches Middle School, he or she is required to perform at least 10 hours of community service each year - a goal that is exceeded by most students. By the 8th grade, a student will have developed a portfolio of significant community involvement, and more importantly, a sense of how responsible citizenship involves service to others.

Contra Costa County's Loaves and Fishes organization once again named Seven Hills Middle School as their "Volunteer Organization of the Year" last year for their regular weekly help in preparation and serving of meals to the needy, which they have done since the Fall of 2002.
